Meet your fry. It has a time bar — and every minute you doomscroll drains it. Run focus sessions, earn coins, keep it alive.
No accounts. Your screen time stays on your device. Just you and your fry.
Choose which apps you want to spend less time on. TikTok, Instagram, Reddit... you know the ones.
Pick a daily limit. Your fry's time bar starts full and drains 1:1 as you use those apps. Resets at midnight.
If the bar hits zero, your fry dies — for good. Earn coins through focus sessions to buy more time before it's too late.
Full bar, fresh fry. Empty bar, dead fry. Drag the slider to see how it feels.
Focus sessions reward you with coins. Spend them on extra time or fancy hats.
Block tracked apps for any duration. Earn 1 coin per minute. Break early, get nothing.
Out of time bar? Spend coins. 4 coins = 1 minute of screen time. No daily cap.
Roll boxes for cosmetic hats. Four tiers from Basic to Legendary. Hats survive death — your fry doesn't.
Built for people who want to scroll less without the guilt trips.
Name your fry, watch it react to your habits, and try not to let it die. Guilt-free motivation.
Your fry's time bar drains 1:1 with tracked app usage. Resets at midnight.
How long has your fry stayed alive? Days survived become your streak. The longer it lives, the prouder you feel.
Friendly in-app nudges and on-device overlays when your time bar runs low. Snoozable. Never naggy.
If your fry dies, it gets a tombstone in the Fryward graveyard. A memorial to your screen time sins.

Everything you need to know about reducing screen time with Unfried.
You get a fry with a time bar. The bar drains in real time as you use apps you've flagged — TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, whatever's eating your day. When it hits zero, your fry dies and goes to the Fryward. Want more time? Run a focus session — apps get blocked and you earn a coin every minute. It's a game you play with your own attention.
Pick a duration, hit start, and Unfried blocks every tracked app on your phone for that period. When the session ends, you get 1 coin per minute you stayed focused. Break early and you get nothing. Spend coins on extra screen time (4 coins = 1 min) or on hat boxes.
There's a 7-day free trial when you start. After that, you'll need a subscription to keep using the app — $9.99/month, $59.99/year, or a $79.99 lifetime one-time purchase. There's no permanent free tier, but the trial unlocks everything, and so does any paid plan. No ads, no hidden upsells inside features.
Your screen time data stays on your device — we never upload your per-app usage or the list of apps you track. Unfried does use a few third-party services for specific things: RevenueCat for subscriptions, Firebase Firestore for version checks and optional feedback, and PostHog plus Firebase Analytics for anonymous product and advertising analytics. No accounts required, no ads inside the app. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
Any app on your phone. By default it monitors the usual suspects — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, X (Twitter), Facebook, Reddit. You can add or remove apps anytime in Settings. There's no cap — track as many as you want.
Unfried is currently available on Android via Google Play. An iOS version is coming soon — stay tuned!
When the time bar empties, your fry dies instantly. It's memorialized in the Fryward (a graveyard of your past fries) and you start over with a fresh fry. Buy extra time with coins before it's too late — or use a focus session to earn more. You also get one second chance per fry to revive it before it's gone for good.
Most screen time apps just nag you with stats. Unfried turns it into a feedback loop you actually want to engage with: a character whose life depends on you, focus sessions that pay you in coins, a hat shop to spend them on, and a graveyard for the ones you couldn't save. It's mindfulness via game design — not guilt trips.
